I am trying to grow this rose as a groundcover, but although the canes are limber and procumbent, the growth hasn't been dense enough to make an effective weed barrier. But I've seen the foliage look much fuller in other pictures, so maybe my plant has a nutrient problem or something. For now I've had to install a large "tree ring" (recycled rubber tire mulch) around the base in order to block the weeds from coming up among the canes. This rose can probably be treated as other Wichurana ramblers by being trained on a support.
No disease problems.
