From Heirloom Roses.

Long, elegantly scrolled buds open to shapely blooms. The inner petals often stay closed in the center. Lovely, strong perfume. Makes great cut flowers.

The lax canes are ideal for pillaring. Tolerates lightly shaded and neglected sites. You wouldn't think that this climbing sport of a hybrid tea would be so healthy and rugged. Has been in my garden for almost 10 years and has never looked better. This year the birds really helped keeping the insects in check and the blooms unspoiled.
