Robust and healthy climber or tall shrub. Very upright, rigid canes. Beautiful, dark, glossy foliage. May occasionally get some blackspot or other leaf spotting, but outgrows it.

Established.

July 23. A little blackspot on the lower foliage.
August 8. Blackspot on bottom third.
September 12. Lower 1/3 defoliated.

Summary: Blackspot was not a serious problem this year. Leaf spots appeared in autumn, but caused no significant defoliation.
